The twenties are often glorified as the best years of life, but they can be chaotic, filled with existential crises and uncertainty. Today I'm sharing seven crucial truths I wish I'd known during this pivotal decade that would have saved me from unnecessary suffering and the pressure to have everything figured out.
• You don't have to have it all figured out - your twenties are messy first chapters for collecting questions, not final answers
• Validation won't give you peace - true contentment comes from alignment with your authentic self, not external approval
• Your relationships shape your reality - surround yourself with people who celebrate your growth rather than keeping you small
• Rest is not a reward - honor your body's need for recovery instead of treating it like something you must earn
• Not everything deserves your energy - protect your peace and don't waste time on matters that won't matter in five years
• Confidence isn't loud, it's quiet trust - the most confident people aren't the loudest but those who remain calm in uncertainty
• You're allowed to change - your growth might unsettle people who benefited from your smaller self, but evolution is natural

Your twenties aren’t meant to be perfect—they’re meant to be lived, explored, and sometimes even messy. Every mistake, every detour, and every win is shaping you into the person you’re becoming. So stop worrying about having it all figured out and start embracing the lessons along the way. Looking back, I realize my twenties were less about getting everything “right” and more about learning, unlearning, and growing into myself. These truths aren’t rules—they’re gentle reminders that it’s okay to be in progress, to shift directions, and to define your own pace.
Now it’s your turn: Which of these 7 truths hit home for you? What’s one lesson you’d share with your younger self? Drop it in the comments—I’d love to hear your story. And if this post gave you clarity, share it with a friend who might need the same reminder today.
